Today is Wednesday Review. Wednesday Review is where we review a product that we either got for free or cheap that we either wouldn’t normally buy, or tried for the first time because of the coupon/sale. I would like to thank one of our faithful readers, Alexis, for contributing this week’s Wednesday Review. Here is her review of a deal that was listed here a few weeks ago -

Picaboo memory book
My son’s 1 year birthday was coming up, and I thought for about 30 seconds about making a scrapbook to display at his party. Then I remembered that I am no good at scrapbooking, and it will never get done. I have made digital scrapbooks before, but I have always hated that the type of backgrounds were so limited, and the space for writting in them was nonexistant or limited. A week before his birthday, I ran across the deal for a free scrapbook from Picaboo. I decided to give it a try. You must download their software onto your computer in order to make your book. But let me tell you, it was worth it. There are an amazing selection of backgrounds. You can even use your own pictures as backgrounds. You can even have a background as a 2 page spread! I was blown away. In fact, I didn’t even think about taking a picture of Cinderella’s castle for a background for our disney trip, or of Shammoo for our Seaworld trip. But that’s no problem, because they had those already saved as searchable backgrounds you could use. They also had an option where you could hide pictures that you had already used so that you don’t accidently put the same picture in the book twice. I paid for an upgrade to the lay flat pages, and I’m glad I did. It was definately worth it. I was also able to share the book on facebook so that even family and friends far away could see it. It took me about 4 hours or so to make it, and shipping was quick. I had it in time for his party! And if you are really not wanting to spend a lot of time on it, you can say what pictures you want to use, and have the book genie make the book for you. I highly recommend this product, and I will definately be doing it again!

Big Announcement!

I’ve been doing match ups for myself for years using coupon databases on different sites. But I get so frustrated when we didn’t receive a specific coupon and I wasted time looking for it. Or discovering that we got a coupon that other areas didn’t get so it’s not listed in other databases. So… I’m creating my own. This will take some time to get everything typed in and actually get a database made for the site. Until then I will be creating it in Excel so that any match ups I do you can be confident that we on the Peninsula of Hampton Roads received that coupon.

Because I am working on this so much I am once again looking for volunteers to help me find/post the deals. If you would like to contribute something to one of the theme days (Make Money Monday, Wednesday Review, etc) it would be greatly appreciated!!! Or if you really like doing CVS match ups and would like to contribute that every week, I would LOVE that! Make Money Monday 4/11

Today is again Make Money Monday. Every Monday I will feature a different way to make money, or earn gift cards, on the internet. Most will be survey sites, some will be search engines, and others will be cash back sites. I will always list whether or not I have “cashed out” at the site and give an idea of the wait time to receive your money.

I have been a member of Epoll for over 8 years. Epoll is a survey site that will email you surveys that you can take. They don’t send a lot of surveys but every little bit helps! I have cashed out for $75 in various gift cards to Target and Best Buy, but there are more choices available. While you may not make a lot of money these surveys only take around 5-10 minutes and they are legit! Once you request your gift card it takes 4-6 weeks to receive it.
